5 Setbacks that Stop You BIG Time

consciousnessHave you ever felt that you want to succeed but whatever you do there seems to be all kinds of things that are stopping you? While it is true that life happens, it’s how we respond to it that makes a difference. What usually happens is that we get accustomed to how we perceive the reality and unnoticed we react to it, again in a habitual way. Here are the 5 most common automatic reactions I see around me and how they influence your life.

1. Poverty mindset – If you consistently prime yourself with “I don’t have money”, “there is never enough”, then you set yourself up for a self-fulfilling prophecy. This doesn’t mean thatlying to yourself that you have money if you don’t will work. What it means is that as soon as you focus on “I don’t have ” and “I can’t afford”, you miss the opportunity to mobilize yourself to look for a solution instead of dwelling on the problem.

2. Powerless Attitude – You know you feel powerless when you just don’t seem to go anywhere from where you are. You will notice that you see no direction you can take and no solution by the way you look at things. Every time when you find excuses and  complain you delude yourself that you do something about the situation you are in while in fact you don’t really take any action that will bring a positive change.

3. Doubt dwelling – If you don’t believe in yourself, in what you do, that things will go in a better direction (with your active help) then  nobody else will and even if they will, your disbelief will soon discourage them. Going down a negative spiral is trapping you into inaction more than anything else. And the worst part about it is that it had the ability to signal others to stay away from clouds of gloom and doom.

4. Resistance to change – Life would be a Heaven on Earth if only everything was perfect and unchanging but that movie is not played in the cinema of real life. So,  you either go with the change, meet with your fear, go out of your comfort zone, or you resist it and stay the same and sooner or later start regreting that you do not live the life you wish you could.

5. Avoiding the NOW –  Most often, when you don’t make amends with your past (appreciate it for happening whether bringing you good or bad experience) you drive the car of your life into a forward direction looking back. Do you think you really are going far without looking at the road and the direction? Others, live in the perfect future trying to imagine it into being. And, that’s all good as long as you don’t expect to have your Olimpic medal to arrive by the mail while you do nothing to get tit in the mean time. Living in a dream for the future is like trying to catch the air around you. The past moment is already gone. The future moment is not there yet. What you have is the present moment and this is where you can determine what the future would be like for you and how you perceive the past.

Setbacks are like blind spots – different coping strategies which once upon a time we started using in order to deal with what comes our way. Maybe at that time these strategies were helping us and maybe they are still helping us in a way. There is a pay-off, something we protect ourselves from.  But, does this  align with who we are or want to be now. Once we become aware what we do and what is the protective reason to do it, we c an decide differently. We can decide to take the leading role in our life and not allow old habits to rule our life!

Put YOURSELF First!

I wake up in the morning and I am ready to pamper myself. After my own needs come the needs of everybody else. Without sounding too selfish I would like to add that I am working in the world of services where your real boss is your client. I spend all day – from 6am to 11pm giving service to others. And maybe for this reason I am the perfect person to advice on treating yourself every day as a health and wellness practice.

I do a lot of things to reward myself for being in the world. Personally, this keeps me going because I pay attention to the others a lot and when I don’t forget to pay attention to myself too (which in the past I have done) my inner balance is firmly grounded.

1. Schedule a time for yourself

Just keep in mind that the things you schedule eat up the things you don’t schedule.

Every morning I wake up 30 min earlier than I am supposed to and I have 30 min to be lazy, to day dream (no more work related nightmare scenarios early in the morning), to lay down in bed and do absolutely nothing. What a great start! The next thing I know is – before I step outside my front door I already have tons and ton of hair and make up products on me. As a woman who values the inner Goddess I make sure that I express my inner beauty every day in a unique way. As soon as I get compliments on my style, my hair, my make up, I of course innocently say “Thank you”, meaning “I know (wink), I worked hard for it. I’m glad it show and glows”

2. Make it a practice

One of the things that excite me the most is to connect with people in a meaningful way. What I do is – every day I schedule a time to small talk with the people who support me and make me feel happy. Conversations where people are negative, blaming, complaining are not part of my life any more. I know better and I do better. If somebody wants to engage me into being their emotional trashcan all I do is say: No, thanks. I’ll pass this.

3. Reward yourself for your success even before you achieve it

What I do, and it had always worked for me, is when I want something very much to motivate myself with Starbucks coffee. What I do is, I tell myself – “Now, that I am going to celebrate my success with this coffee even though I don’t have it yet, the manifestation of my success I definitely on its fast track way. Of course, after I take my time to drink my coffee and enjoy the taste of my success, I summon all my strength and actually go for it.

How about you? What do you do to treat yourself?

I challenge you to do one thing for yourself this week and share it on the board. One thing just for you and nobody else!

How to write an Elevator Speech

“If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.” – Coachfucious

The first and foremost thing you need to do is be ready and ably to sell your product or service in a snapshot. In order to get he clients you are looking for you absolutely need to be prepared to meet with your clients wherever they are and whatever they do. What will set you apart from all the rest of the people in your business is the MANTRA that you will sing to enchant your clients and get them close to you.

This mantra identifies who you are, what you do and why your client will choose you over all the others on the market and is most commonly known as elevator speech.

Before we create one, we will go though the brainstorming process.

There are a couple of tough questions that can be answered before we roll up our sleeves and start creating our client magnet.

1. Who am I? In what capacity I want to serve you?

2. What business I am in? What results do my business promise to you as a client?

3. Who is my client? How does he look like?

4. What makes me different from the competition? Why should the client do business with me?

5. What are the benefits of my customer when buying my product / services?

Those questions when systemized don’t look as if they will come out of the page and bite you but when you think about it 90% of the time to come up with ideas is very difficult. Usually this uneasiness to decide on the right answers for you and your business springs from the fact that most of us consciously or not are employees in their business and being an owner of a business is just that – being employed by yourself to perform the job task- owner.

The way to go out of this trap where you end up employing yourself and go into the thinking hat that is only concerned with how to elevate your business the answers will start flowing to you.

Whenever you are ready with our own answers to the clarification questions, you can start writing your elevator speech. This speech you will be able to say wherever you go whatever you do and you will be able to sell your product or service in 30 seconds. And I will show example with my own elevator speech.

1. For whom are you offering your product / service? Who is your client?

Your sentence will start with “for” as in:

“For unstoppably determined people”

2. What is it that your customer wants / needs and you are offering?

Your sentence will start with “who” as in:

“Who want to live with passion and be financially independent”

3. What product or service you are offering?

Your sentence will start with “the” as in:

“The Life and Money Coaching of Tsvetanka (Sue) Petrova”

4. What category does your product or service satisfy?

Your sentence will start with “is a” as in:

“Is a walk through into the world of achieving your goals”

5. What is the benefit that your client will receive when buying your product / service?

Your sentence wil lstart with “that” as in:

“That is low cost and at the same time high in value because”

6. Who are your competitors and why you are better than them?

Your sentence will start with “unlike” as in:

Unlike others I walk the walk and talk the talk.

7. What is the single most important thing that sets you apart form the competition?

Your sentence will start with “our” as in:

“Our coaching reframes circumstances and life situations into possibilities and I help my clients turn those possibilities into opportunities.”

The most important step is as soon as you have your MANTRA ready chant it as much as possible to as many people as possible and then just happily receive all the goodness the powerful mantra tnhat you just created can bring into your business life.

Here is how mine looks like:

DREAM BIG is for unstoppably determined people who want to live with passion and be financially independent.

The Life and Money Coaching of Tsvetanka (Sue) Petrova is a walk through into the world of achieving your goals that is:

-low cost (until she graduates from ICA )

-and at the same time high in value (she is attending in addition to her classes four (4) coaching practices – Life Coaching, Spiritual Coaching, Business Coaching and Executive Coaching)

Unlike other coaches she walks the talk.

Sue’s Life and Money Coaching reframes circumstances and life situations into possibilities and she helps her clients turn those possibilities into opportunities.
